As is, the TSA in airports is known to fail random tests over 90% of the time. In other words, we ought to get rid of the TSA, because they suck at catching items that are forbidden on planes. Having said that, the TSA agents are incredibly intrusive and violate people, especially women's private areas.

Why would we want random searches on children? It's never been a child that brought in a gun, but rather an adult. Uvalde took place in an elementary, yet it was an 18-year-old man who didn't work there who took the children's and teachers' lives.

Even if metal detectors and a guard were in place, the 18-year-old with an assault rifle can take out the guard and walk right through the metal detector. It wouldn't stop nor delay him.

Even if schools are gun-free zones makes no difference. My school is down the road from a gun range. My track students have said they've heard gunshots when running on the field.
