Four Reasons I Skipped Your Dating Profile on Hinge
After spending most of my twenties avoiding the dating world by spending my time at work, I finally decided to try dating again.
This time, I didn’t bother downloading Tinder. Nope. There’s too many spammers on the platform to ever land a date there. Instead, I decided to try out Hinge.
After having used the platform for a month, I can happily say that I’ve ended up on more dates using Hinge than I ever have using Tinder. However, there are still some things I wish users on Hinge would do better to increase their chances of meeting someone.
Stop being one-dimensional
When I started using Hinge, I used it to find someone who likes to read or write (or both).
I quit my job as a teacher to pursue a career in blogging and becoming an author. Is it too much to ask for my partner to be supportive of my career choice?
When I scrolled down and looked at different profiles, I looked for keywords like library, read(s), books, or Barnes and Noble. What I didn’t expect was that so many profiles had hardly any text on them whatsoever. What’s even worse is that some of that text was either vague or said nothing about the person’s character.
