Personal responsibility is a weak argument. The government is corrupt via lobbyists and corporations. Is it personal responsibility that littering is everywhere? No. Corporations choose to sell plastic bottles instead of glass, because it costs more money to recycle glass bottles. They deflect by blaming us. The individual cannot be blamed. As long as the U.S. government is bought out by lobbyists and stays corrupt, nothing will fundamentally change. Personal responsibility will change nothing.
