YouTube is not a utility. Telephones were necessary for communication and became a monopoly. YouTube, while being the biggest platform for content, is not a monopoly. There are other platforms that threaten YouTube daily. YouTube has competition, whereas the telephone companies bought each other out and became one company, forcing the government to step in when prices went out of control. However, YouTube does not charge the consumer money. If YouTube bought off Vimeo and DailyMotion, I would agree with you in breaking up YouTube. But it hasn't.
